NavInfo jointly bidded the Ministry of Public Security PGIS2.0 Project

 Recently, NavInfo jointly bidded the National Public Security Map Service Management System (Cloud Picture) project (1st package: System Development and Integration) with Beijing Zhongdun Security Technology Development Co., First Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security of PRC (First Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security of PRC for short below) and Founder International (Beijing) Co., Ltd. The project is the further expansion of the map and big data business of NavInfo in the field of public security.

New situation and new business in the field of public security hasten the birth of new PGIS demand

PGIS platform ("PGIS platform for short below") is a basic and comprehensive application supporting platform crucial for public security informatization. At the moment, 31 provincial public security departments and more than 280 prefectural and municipal public security organs, including the Ministry of Public Security, have completed the construction of the PGIS platform, and PGIS technology has been widely applied in the public security industry. It has played an important technical support role in the work of strike and prevention, management and control and serving the society of public security organs, and has achieved remarkable results in its application.

In order to adapt to the new demand of public security work under the new situation and adapt to the development of new technologies such as cloud computing, Internet of Things, big data and mobile Internet, and better enhance the existing PGIS platform of public security organs for smart public security, police service big data application and policing practice, the Ministry of Public Security carries out the construction of the National Public Security Map Service System (Cloud Picture) Project (namely, PGIS2.0 Project).

PGIS2.0 will integrate multiple advanced technologies to power the development of public security space-time big data

Relying on new technologies such as cloud computing, Internet of Things, big data and mobile Internet application, the PGIS Phase II Project of the Ministry of Public Security has further optimized and upgraded the PGIS platform software technology framework, perfected the national PGIS platform functions, and expanded the support for space-time big data, mobile PGIS and special network GIS applications, and built the PGIS data aggregation and platform operation & maintenance guarantee mechanism of ministry, province and municipality, to provide a new foundation platform software support for the upgrading of the national PGIS platform. Based on the ministerial level cloud platform environment, with reference to the construction and application model of Internet map, the "Cloud Picture" system of the Ministry of Public Security was built to provide the open service support of national geographic information resources for the PGIS construction of public security organs and business police classification in various provinces and municipalities.

Joined hands in strength, with the technological innovation capability and application service level recognized by the industry

In 2017, NavInfo and First Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security of PRC signed an agreement to cooperate in the related field of PGIS. The joint bid is the recognition of the industry for both sides" technological innovation capability and application services. Because the existing public security PGIS system is difficult to meet the demand of the current map update, national map networking and exchange, mobile terminal application support, map display form and special network GIS application, in virtue of NavInfo"s map data and technological superiorities, the First Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security of PRC jointly launched the Police Public Geographic Information Service Platform (PPMap).

Guided by the practical application of public security, the platform comprehensively uses cloud computing, big data and other technologies to gather public geographic information, PGIS space resources and public security business data, build an open and win-win Police Public Geographic Information Service Platform, and create an Internet +PGIS police geographic information technical support system. Relying on the Internet and based on the Intranet of public security, the platform gives consideration to the business private network, focuses on geographic information services, realizes all inclusive and open sharing, and complements with the three-level PGIS platform, achieves cooperative service and mutual support, to fully enhance the support capability of geographical information to the practical application of public security.

As a joint construction unit of the PGIS2.0 Project, NavInfo will give full play to its professional and authoritative advantages in the field of map and big data, and provide strong technical support for the construction of PGIS2.0.
